Course Overview
Worsley Golf Club was formed in 1894 and is a beautiful and mature parkland course situated about 6 miles from Manchester city centre.
It has a rich history and tradition, but is also forward looking in its approach and keen to showcase all that the course can offer as well as drive new income streams.
The course is also always meticulously presented and this aspect of the course operations is a key objective of the collective management team.
A truly wonderful place to play golf.
The club already had a series of flyover videos with commentary, so were already well ahead of many golf courses in this regard.
However, the course has undergone a number of course improvements since they were filmed, and this, coupled with the advancement of drone technology meaning far better quality images are available, led to the management commissioning a new full series.
The club was also in the process of renewing a number of its sponsorship deals, and wanted to find new ways of cementing those relationships by adding additional value.
The Brief/Challenge
SkyLine Golf Approach
SkyLine presented to the full committee at the outset to gain buy-in and to understand the club’s requirements.
As a result, SkyLine developed a ground-breaking approach to embed sponsorship deals into the actual course flyovers and to present the sponsors as an integral part of the course setup to enhance visibility. This presentation ‘raises the bar’ of golf course sponsorship and is designed to increase revenue and cement better retention in the future.
SkyLine were also keen to pay homage to the history of the club, so also produced a stand-alone introductory film explaining where the club has been, and where it is today. We were able to use leading edge AI technology to help bring this history to life.
The club will be establishing a brand-new YouTube channel in the autumn of 2025 and SkyLine Golf will run this on their behalf.
The club will also be extensively refreshing their website as well as embarking on an Autumn/Winter campaign to drive eyeballs to all the new materials to engage members and potential future patrons of the club.
It is anticipated that SkyLine and Worsley GC will continue to work together in the future.
